There are a lot of issues when discussing cannabis in a rational way – first the fact that many studies of cannabis say that it leads to mental disorders.

I would ask how many of these studies have been carried out in an environment where cannabis is legal? – If the study is carried out in an environment where cannabis is illegal then is the cannabis causing the problem or is it the fact that in order to smoke cannabis for any length of time (i.e. long enough for someone to consider a person to be part of their study) you need to have been a criminal for a significant proportion of your life.

Do these studies take into account that living ‘outside’ of the law for a significant period of time can also cause significant mental problems in their own way (without the influence of outside agents – e.g. drugs)

As per our discussion earlier, I added dope-smoker.co.uk to Smokkr’s list of auto-updating feeds. If you want to add a button to your “Share and Enjoy” are of posts, copy the code for Digg, modifying the submit code to look like this:

For a icon to use for it:

This will let your site users add “Smokks” to submitted content, thus giving you even more traffic from the site.
