Lowryder Grow – Day 26

So this is 26 days from first signs of life.
Lowryder 2 Feminized seeds. All five seeds germinated eventually.
The big questions now is whether I can harvest them before my relatives start arriving for Christmas visits. At this rate, I wonder.
Oh yes, and will they all be ladies?

harvesting before christmas? maybe, but it’ll take another month to dry
what kind of lights have they got?
At this stage, the root system is growning like mad and filling the pot. Because you’re not going to replant, now would be the time to start feeding them weak tomatoe food.
When they start growing really fast, the roots have spread as far in the pot as they’re going to and your plants will start putting all their energy into vegetative growth that you can see.
That’s the point to really keep then fed, watered and plenty of light energy.
You almost can’t have enough light from now on. A 24 hour a day light cycle with lowryder should yield a mature harvest within 2 months from this stage, but you’ll need to be using a high-wattage, full spectrum light to get the quickest growth.
what about the feminisation thing?
ah yes – aas long as you bought feminized seeds and the plants don’t get stressed from lack of light, water, air or nutrients, then they should all be feminine.
When they start to bud it will be up to you how long to let them go for ideal potency & crop size.
The girls are looking very good right now, though
Just a couple of fluorescent bulbs – all very basic stuff. The point of this is really to see if an idiot (me) can grow some nice weed in a small space without too much bother.
Got them on 24hr light.
get yourself one of these

No No No..
you do need blue spectrum light (for the inital growth stage) but when you get to flowering you need light in the red spectrum too (same as the potassium/nitrates is differnt for growing/flowering in the hydroponic food)
in an ideal world you want a metal halide bulb for growth 24hr light (250w min) and a sodium bulb for flowering (400w min)
If you were using proper lights you can see the growth each day, everyday a new (4)set of leaves (and flowering node will grow) which is why you keep nipping them back.to make the plant become one compact bud!
if you have been growing them for 26 days and thats all they have grown then to be honest you would have been better planting them outdoors in Febuary and naturally harvesting them around October/November
Mate – you need to be aware that this is an experiment. It’s to see what happens if I chuck some seeds in a pot with no specialist equipment or knowledge. I’m not expecting a lot.
I have dope coming out my ears, so this isn’t a situation where I really need a huge yield.
It’s my first ever grow, and I’m learning from it.
Luckily where I live I can legally have three plants, so I’ll be doing an outdoor grow next year, some Lowyder and probably some Northern Lights.
Thanks for your comments.
