This is an extremely popular indica, with one parent originating from the hashish cultivation area Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan. I have smoked a fair bit of this over the last year or so. The high is something else. The stuff I have been smoking is outdoor, but this is really an indoor plant, according to Dutch Passion anyway.
Outside in the right conditions these guys can grow big. Here is a picture of a Mazar plant from back in the 70s. (Probably not from DP!) This plant yielded 5lbs dry weight!
The high has been described as 'up' but I don't think I would go as far as to describe it as energetic. It is not overpowering though. Very pleasant indeed yes - I found myself constantly forgetting what I was doing. After smoking this I had to go for a 2 hour drive, and when I returned I was still absolutely boxed from the Mazar. So, a very long lasting high also.
Mazar has won numerous cannabis cup awards.
Very much loved by various friends, I have absolutley no hesitation in recommending this plant.
