What with all this talk of cannabis decriminalisation going on (and I believe it is purely all talk sadly Mr Clegg) I felt I ought to point something out.
Like what’s been going on in Europe. Did you know? It’s all pretty cool over there.
This zone that we are part of, as the UK, and so keen to embrace. Here’s what they’re doing:
Spain – tolerated – you can grow your own plants and smoke in your home legally. Cannabis social clubs are appearing around the country.
Switzerland – tolerated, you can score in certain places and grow your own plants.
Denmark – you can still buy pot in Christiana.
Holland – we all know this story.
Germany – now tolerated in small amounts.
Belgium – now tolerated in small amounts.
Czech Republic – recently decriminalised, you can now have 5 plants
Portugal – have decriminalised all drugs.
France – they smoke more than anyone in Europe just don’t advertise it
UK – your grandmother may be arrested by the riot squad tomorrow and sent to prison for many years.
Why why why?
Just like our useless football team our cannabis laws are old and need a bloody good shake up.
Now – since when did Belgium become a cool place? They are now officially cooler than the UK – we still have draconian cannabis laws. This is wrong.
The adverts made in the past show how we treat cannabis users with total contempt and ignorance.
It makes me angry. Clegg will do nothing.
